Problem

 The beginning information phase in development of the humanity, appearing books, television, computers resulted in the sharply growing information flow, changing requirements to the visual channel. Most often, the new type of loads results in spasm of controlling muscles, disordered nutrition of eye tissues. This effect is especially strong with respect to formation of visual system of children. The principal cause of developing myopia is accommodation spasm, in the opinion of specialists. The disordered nutrition of eye tissues results simultaneously to the loss of vision sharpness. Though the completed formation of visual organ by 18 to 20 years does not eliminate the accommodation spasm as the principal factor, it results in stabilisation of myopia, because the eyeball size cannot change any more. Adults perceive the permanent visual fatigue as reduced sharpness of vision, headache, feeling of discomfort.

The frequency of myopia is correlated to the degree of public information and is at least 40 per cent in developed countries.

 The effective treatment and stabilisation of myopia may be provided either with technologies, which eliminate accommodation spasm and improve nutrition of eye tissues, i. e., prevent development of myopia, or with surgical correction of the eyeball size or curvature of the front lens of eye, though the major factors remain in this case.
